This animated short is my degree project for graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design. It was made by combining hand-painted and digital elements to explore the scale differences in marine environments as well as my own understanding of the biological and physical processes and ecosystems which all weave together to create the breathtaking complexity of the ocean as we know it- and can’t know it, but only sit at the edge, dip our feet in and feel it.
